No two change management projects for technology implementation are the same. This one had some very unique challenges. The new system would impact end-users across the corporation’s global regions, requiring decisions from leaders in many distant time zones. The new system would also replace each region’s inconsistent, manual processes for financial forecasting, planning, and reporting. Every region would have to transition from its specialized way of performing financial planning work.
This type of large-scale change requires more than just project management.
